The current problem: I don't actually have a computer. Why? Because my cord ripped again. Which means I need to buy another. I'm at the point where I'd almost just buy two so that I'll have a backup--just in case. In the meantime, I've been borrowing my mom's and clearing the history whenever I finish up.

In the meantime, I have a number of Adventures of Black that I can write. Because that family has the potential to be awesome. And I've still got my crusade to fight Black stereotypes. (It occurs to me that I have quite a few causes, actually...introducing the world to more art nouveau artists, fighting cg art, helping the Blacks' images...)

So the one that I've been meaning to write for a few months now basically involves Sirius, Regulus, and Alphard. Who finds his family more funny in their craziness than irritating. That's what I should really work on, I know. And my rather longer Barty/Regulus one, and a couple others that utilize bad zombie jokes. (Seriously, I put jokes in my stories that I only find slightly amusing and more bad than anything, but for some reason people love them!)

The only problem is that the beginnings to a number of them are actually on my own computer. I should get back to writing by hand. For some reason I do a lot better that way.

And this is the point where I go because I have to learn how to calm down a hyper cat...

Art nouveau for the win! You should check the Google homepage today (or at least I hope the art nouveau header is a worldwide thing). That works to spread the goodness nicely.

That sounds like a pretty kickass story you have there. Also, some jokes are so bad that they're good. XD

Good luck with the cat-calming as well. Just don't make any harsh movements!

Yep, that's Mucha alright! (I could say "Those darn Czechs!" but...well.)

I don't know what it was with her. And since we're babysitting, and have another cat, I couldn't just let her out so she could bounce off other furniture.

You know your fin-de-siecle artists! (Hehe, I think he was pretty cosmopolitan. Like me. XD)

Bouncing off furniture? I've seen a cat do that once, probably as a result of random shock. You really want to prevent that from happening again, since the poor thing could easily hurt herself like that...

I feel that if someone should use an artist/art genre as an influence, the way I have with art nouveau, you should actually bother to know something about it. Hence, the "history lessons" I've given with different drawings lately. (Well, he emigrated to France, so probably.)

I think the verb I came up with is "ricocheted." That is, she would propel herself off everything. Not the scary sort of bumping into stuff that happens when you cut off a cat's whiskers. We think it had something to do with her being wound up from thunderstorms that day and such.

Agreed completely. :D

Yep, that's what our cat did once when he got freaked out. It's possible there was a trigger somewhere in the vicinity - some cats sure are set off by storms or fireworks. I guess the best you can do is move aroud her with caution...

It occurs to me, I did a meme a while back that involved unfinished fics. (I think it was while you were still away, I'm not sure.) It's got a bit of one of them.

I asked my sister (it's her cat) and apparently she just does that sometimes.
