Born from a combination of narcissism and a desire to show I've been doing something...
It occurred to me recently that, while I prefer writing about men/from men's perspectives, I enjoy drawing women better. I wonder if part of it has to do with the ability to do more with women's outfits. Or perhaps it's an unconcious wish to be like what I draw. I won't deny, though, that I do wish I could draw the men I want to draw; I'm very good at effeminate men, but I can't seem to get them above their very early twenties, appearance-wise.

Anyway, I have a finished drawing, and a WIP.

Does anyone else remember that time when vampires were still creatures of the night? When they didn't sparkle in the sunlight? They used to prey on humans, and a love affair between a human and a vampire was doomed.

I was shocked and bewildered at how many people at the anime convention I went to didn't know what Vampire Hunter D was, considering how early it came out in the U.S., and sometimes what comes out earliest is the best. (Although, I suppose it's a blessing that so few people know it; now it's not spoiled by the likes of thirteen-year-old fangirls.)

But I did an art nouveau poster of it.

And I started drawing on photoshop. Incessantly. I wish that these didn't take so long. I'm hoping to get it done by the 14th.
