This whole ACTA thing gives me a stomachache. I'm a "deal by not dealing" type of person, but the simple fact that, because I get a majority of my recipes offline for example, I might get shut down is just...ugh. So I signed a few petitions, tried spreading the word (it really works better with people that have more people on their f-lists than me), and I'll go back to not dealing.

I know it would upset some people to hear me say this, but I don't wanna save the world. I just wanna be able to function in it.

Anyway, I'm going back to making pie crust for a quiche. I've got all this spinach, and I have the cheese and eggs for it.

Also, I don't think that drawing will be finished. Honestly, experience tells me that if I start something and hate it, and continue hating it as I work more on it, I am never going to like it. I'll try to do something else satisfying at some point.

Same here, believe me. I think when it comes to protesting against ACTA, all we can do is the little bit we can do (spreading the word, signing petitions). Beyond that, obsessing about it isn't constructive - we all have lives and interests other than focusing on a single issue.

Yeah, I've got several superhero-type friends. I'm not entirely sure how they handle all the stress and exhaustion that comes with caring so much. I guess some people feel worse not doing everything they can...

I know people like that too. I'd rather enjoy life, though, and I think a good dose of selfishness is healthy. Neither meshes very well with altruism. ;)

Saving the world is a tedious, time-consuming, and thankless task. Especially if there is so little you can do.

You mean TEH drawing? Noooooooo. I'd love to see it finished.:(

I signed the three international petitions, and I'm spreading the word (a little...I don't have nearly so large an f-list as other people I know.) I'm done.

Yeah. A lot of it's his face; the reason people don't draw laughing faces a whole lot is because it involves a lot of lines on the face that we deny exist as well as teeth, which are difficult to draw without making them gross or weird. Even more than that, I refuse to compromise on the lighting I wanted, which is going to require a lot more practice. I'm just taking on too many challenges at once.

I only can draw stick people, that's why am always amazed by the talent of those who draw. Maybe, you'll come back to the sketch some day. I really liked it.

And I got your e-mail this morning (the stupid Rambler is acting up). Thank you very much for your help! I'll try to answer you through e-mail, but just in case it won't work... Thank you!
