I implied that I was going to continue drawing men. This is proof that I have no control over inspiration.

I know that normally I give the preliminary sketch, but I just kept going this morning. Eventually she'll have an autumn forest behind her, an old wooden porch, and I want to try to put a dog beside her. Preferably a big, wrinkly one; I want her to be something you might see in Appalachia. (These are big plans, though. I don't draw animals very often, so we'll see how it goes with the dog...)

It's also by no means the full drawing. For once I'm doing one that's portrait orientation, so I couldn't hit the "prt sc" button and get a decent view of the entire thing. There's not much else to see yet, anyway.

Otherwise, things went well with my mom today. We did a little shopping, made peanut cake, and had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Not bad for an early birthday.

Also, I've been conceiving a new bit of QAF stupidity for y'all. I need to get into the syntax I want for it, and I'm having a hard time dropping inner southern drawl for long enough to do so...

I like it! Love her hair, the color of her skin. A dog will be awesome (and I love them big).

I love your QAF, though you need a headnut for the 'stupidity' part. It's not!

Blonde hair is amazingly hard to color, so I'm pretty happy with it. And I was trying to figure out what kind of dog people in the mountains of America like...so yeah, a bloodhound or a mastiff or something. The long ears and wrinkles and stuff are adorable. (My mom asked why I didn't give her a little one like a friend of ours, and I'm not sure she understands how well a King Charles Cavalier would fare as a country dog...)

Maybe I should call it "ridiculous." Really, there's good types of stupidity and bad types. I like to think mine is more the first.
