Art: Aries

Oy....now that I'm done with this, I have to get to work on school.

I'm going to take this chance to recommend Linda Goodman's Sun Signs. It's very sixties/seventies, but it remains my favourite book on the subject. Unfortunately, her other books are not nearly so good.

The Ram, Aries, was the ram with the golden fleece, which saved Phrixus from being wrongly sacrificed, then offered itself in sacrifice to Zeus. Its fleece was later to be claimed by the hero Jason.

Aries is considered to be the baby of the zodiac: they are open and trusting, with a tendency to forget small hurts fairly quickly. They are also crusaders, and will fight for a cause which is most likely lost, are creatures of action, and almost completely lack subtlety.

Like babies, they tend to forget that they're not the center of the universe, and are incredibly impatient, with quick tempers and a tendency to think they're better at what they do than anyone else. The most frustrating part is that, usually, they are. One of their greatest fears is that of being rejected, and sometimes to avoid this, they will make sure they do the rejecting, first.

He's totally not my usual thing, with his pink skin and curls and twink physique. Still, he's so pretty, you can't help but love him.

That books is really the type of thing where you read ten pages here or there about the different signs. Still, it's almost creepy how accurate it is.
